Apple reissues; VH-1 special

According to Good Day Sunshine, EMI in England issued, on Monday 12/2/96, the first three of their new wave of Apple reissues: Ravi Shankar's "In Concert 1972," Badfinger's "Ass," and Modern Jazz Quartet's "Space." The fourth, George Harrison's "Electronic Sound" was delayed by a week, and will be released next Monday, 12/9/96.

All four are planned for release on vinyl, currently scheduled for 1/13/97.

VH-1, as you probably know, has been running the 1972 appearrances of John & Yoko on "The Mike Douglas Show" all this week. Running on Friday (and repeating Sat & Sun) will be a special called 'The Beatles Today." Don't know yet what that is, though I'm planning on finding out. Also, on Sunday afternoon, their "Archives" series will dedicate a half hour to Ringo Starr. Check your local listings for air times (seems to vary by zone).
