Sir Paul's Ecce Cor Meum won the Album of the Year at the Classical Brit Awards gala held at London's Royal Albert Hall last evening. Sir Paul described the album as "a labor of love" dedicated to the memory of his late wife, Linda. Sir Paul won the honor thanks to the votes of Classic FM listeners and readers of its magazine. It is the only Brit award that is based on public input rather than on the recommendations of classical music experts.
