Sir Paul has taken issue with The Sunday Times newspaper report (see April 20 below) that stated that he is worth more than $1 billion:
"It's not true. I don't even know how much I'm worth, and I'm not sure my accountants know either. But I'm very well off, which is great because as a working-class lad from Liverpool, that was my intention."
