In Los Angeles today, Sir Paul taped an hour-long television interview with Larry King to be broadcast on CNN later in the evening. Heather Mills joined Sir Paul at the end of interview discuss their anti-landmine campaign. Larry King summarized the interview in an article he wrote for USA Today (6/25), using these three McCartney quotes: "I feel Linda around me all the time. She may be gone physically, but she is never really gone... "I can't read or write music. I actually dreamt the music of Yesterday in my sleep. I keep a piano right by my bed (doesn't everybody?) and as soon as I woke, I played out the tune. It had many titles originally, including some silly ones. The title Yesterday turned out to be perfect . . .
"My favorite all-time singer is Nat King Cole. My favorite all-time song is the pop classic The Very Thought of You. These days I like some of the work of Eminem." A transcript of the "Larry King Live" broadcast has been posted on CNN.com.
