On July 5, tickets will go on sale for the September 8 PETA 21st Anniversary and Humanitarian Awards Gala during which Sir Paul will present the second Linda McCartney
Memorial Award to Chrissie Hynde. He is also reported to be providing some of the " musical entertainment" for the evening.PETA has also announced a release date of September 4 for the DVD of their previous gala, Paul McCartney and Friends: the PETA Concert. The September 18, 1999 concert, filmed on the back lot of Paramount Pictures in Los Angeles features Sir Paul singing Honey Hush, Brown-Eyed Handsome Man, Try Not To Cry, Lonesome Town and Run Devil Run. Among the "friends" who also performed that evening were Sarah McLachlan, Chrissie Hynde and the B-52s.
