Sir Paul's Wingspan CD has earned him his 21st gold disc in the United States. Geoff Baker reports: "According to Billboard magazine Paul and Eric Clapton are tying with 21 gold albums each. He'll be dead chuffed, and I'll tell you what - he'll get his 22nd (gold disc) when his new album comes out." This total includes only those gold records earned since he left the Beatles in 1970 - 11 as a solo artist and 10 with his group, Wings. Twenty-one is highest number of gold discs ever awarded to a recording artist. Number twenty-two will break the record!
