According to the critics, Microsoft's new Encarta College Dictionary is inconsistent, misleading and sometimes inaccurate. To see what they are talking about, just look at the various Beatle entries: John is listed as "singer, songwriter, and musician", Paul, perhaps the Beatles' most versatile instrumentalist, is only defined as "singer and songwriter" Poor George is only listed as a "musician", while Ringo is labeled "drummer and musician", but of the four, he is the only one identified as a Beatle!
