In a Radio 4 interview with The Choice's Michael Buerk today, Heather Mills spoke for the first time of how Sir Paul "chased" her for months before she would even speak to him: "He got hold of my number and eventually he said he wanted to help with my charity work. Or so he said." She also dismissed the claims that she's a gold digger by saying: "If I was going to go out with anyone for their money, I would be with someone a lot richer." When Buerk suggested that "there aren't too many people who are richer than Sir Paul McCartney" Heather replied: 'There are a lot of people, believe me. He knows why I'm with him and I know why I'm with him. Believe me, there are a lot more reasons not to be with him than money and things like that. There's a lot of history there, but he's just a great guy ."
