Sir Paul will join 30 other celebrity well-wishers including Keith Richards, Bono and the Edge, Elvis Costello, Willie Nelson, and former U.S. Vice President Al Gore, on a tribute album to Johnny Cash. The Essential Johnny Cash, a double-CD scheduled to be released by Columbia/Legacy Records on February 12, is being compiled in celebration of Cash's 70th birthday. In his testimonial, Sir Paul talks about the influence Johnny Cash has had on his life. Sir Paul can be heard performing "New Moon Over Jamaica" on Johnny Cash's 1988 album, Water >from the Wells of Home.
