Before last evening's concert at New York city's Madison Square Garden some members of the New York City Police Department paid a backstage visit to Sir Paul to make him an honorary New York City detective.  Proud of this new title, Sir Paul shared the news with his audience and warned:  "So whoever is smoking that stuff I can smell, I'm going to bust you."

Sir Paul continues to be generous to the rescue workers he encounters as he tours the United States. On Friday, Heather Mills paid a surprise visit to the firefighters of New York Engine Company No.1 and presented them with a $50,000 check for their widows and children's fund.
