The news from Scotland is that in July Sir Paul and Heather will be returning to the McCartney High Peak Farm on the Mull of Kintyre. It is said to be Heather's first visit to the beloved family farm. One of his Campbeltown neighbors reports:
"Sir Paul always comes here this time of year, but this time he's bringing Heather. This is a special place for him and we've been told to get ready to welcome his new wife. They will be here for a few weeks and will probably do some of the things he used to do with Linda, a bit of horse-riding and walking."Another neighbor commented:"It's not going to be easy. Linda's stamp is still all over the house. Heather will be walking into a home that is full of cherished memories for Sir Paul."During their visit, plans have been made to unveil a statue of Linda in fond memory of her work as an animal rights campaigner. (see October 2, 2000)Last evening, a McCartney spokesman said that Sir Paul always spent part of his summer at the farm and could not comment further.
