2002-Jul-12: A Poem for Steve Miller

Sir Paul and Steve Miller are good friends.  Still,  it came as a complete surprise to the musician when he discovered a poem written by Sir Paul printed in the booklet of his new live album, "King Biscuit Flower Hour Presents The Steve Miller Band".  Mr. Miller told a Plain Dealer reporter:

 "I was surprised to see that.  I think maybe Lia Starace from King Biscuit wrote him a letter and told him what we were doing. It was a lovely surprise. Paul's a very talented guy. He's a great painter, too. It's amazing."

Sir Paul's poem reads:

Steve silken Miller
Voice to glide
Guitar to pump slide
And sit astride
The raging bull
Fellow artist, much respect-
