One of the main attractions of Birmingham's International Classic Motor Show next month will be the Aston Martin DB6 once owned by Sir Paul McCartney. Sir Paul took delivery of the Goodwood Green vehicle with black leather upholstery and chrome wheels in March of 1966. It is said that he used the car's built-in tape recorder to record demos of the tunes he composed while on the road. Sir Paul sold the car in 1972. Recently, it was completely rebuilt and restored to a condition exceeding its former glory by the Newport Pagnell factory. In the Spring of 2001, it was put up for auction during the Spring of 2001, but failed to sell (see May 7, 2001). The vehicle is currently owned by Aston Martin. The International Classic Motor Show will take place on November 9 and 10 at the NEC in Birmingham, England.
