According to People magazine's latest "rich list", Sir Paul is the highest-earning celebrity in the world for the year 2002. The magazine rates his 2002 earnings as $312.58 million, with $169.31 million earned from his album sales and his tour of the United States. The remainer of the earnings are said to be the proceeds from this publishing catalog which hold the rights to 3,000 songs.
