London's Sunday Telegraph reports today that Sir Paul's marijuana arrest in Tokyo 23 years ago continues to haunt him today: According to Sir Paul:
"The worst thing about being busted is that you go on computer records. Every time I go to America they see my name on the database and I have to sit with the aliens in customs. It's a bit embarrassing - and what's more, that stuff's never going to come off my records. I think America has sort of forgiven me. It's like: 'That was his wild youth but he's all right now.' "
