Sir Paul talked about his song A Love for You during an interview for the American television program, Entertainment Tonight:
"I love to see my stuff in films. You know, I'm a ham. I was asked if they could use one of my songs that I had lying around for quite a long time. I wasn't going to do anything with it, and I said, 'Yeah, sure. Let me freshen it up a bit and check it and make sure I like it.'.
"I just managed to never get it on an album. "So [the In-Laws filmmakers] said it would fit perfectly at the end of the film. We remixed it and I saw it on the film and I think it works great."Two other McCartney tunes will be heard on the soundtrack, I'm Carrying and a live version of Live and Let Die:
"I think it's nice that they chose a slightly different version. It's a bit more interesting because of that. But it sounds enough like the original for it to work in the film for the kind of spoof CIA agent sequence."It's a very funny film, actually. We were in hoots watching it. Michael's [Douglas] great as the super spy and Albert's [Brooks] really good as the worried [doctor]. I think they work very well together. And just the idea of having someone like that at a family wedding is a funny idea. They make the most of it ."
