In an interview with Tom Robinson of BBC digital station 6 Music, Sir Paul credits the late George Harrison with giving him some help composing the tune Waiting For Your Friends To Go that will be featured on his new album. Sir Paul explained:
"I just got this feeling, this is George. It was like George - writing one of his songs. It just wrote itself very easily because it wasn't even me writing it."
Sir Paul says he isn't even sure he understands the meaning of the lyrics of the song:
"I thought, okay, the 'waiting on the other side' is also a little bit loaded, it can be crossing the river Jordan or whatever, that sort of thing. There's a little bit of double meaning there. It was funny, particularly the second verse: 'I've been sliding down a slippy slope, I've been climbing up a slowly burning rope.' I just thought - it's a George song."
One thing Sir Paul is sure about - the song is one of his favorite tracks on his new album, Chaos and Creation In The Back Yard.
