2005-Jul-29: Sir Paul Honors a Bee Gee

(Updated August 1) During the graduation ceremony held at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, Sir Paul presented Bee Gee, Robin Gibb, with an honorary companionship. Sir Paul told the assembly that Mr. Gibb earned the honor because he belongs to a band which is ranked sixth on the all-time top sellers list, and is the only act in history to write, produce and record six consecutive hit singles. The rock'n'roll diploma is the equivalent of an honorary degree.
