Today's Mirror reports that the Beatles' debut radio interview will be broadcast today for the first time. The interview took place in October, 1962. DJ, Monty Lister spoke to the Beatles about their new single Love Me Do during one of their performances at Hulme Hall, Port Sunlight for hospital radio:
"I did the interview by emergency exit doors and the four lads were continually opening the door and letting their friends in."
The three minute interview was aired on the November 19, 2005 program and and can be heard on BBC Radio 4's The Archive Hour: Hospital Radio site: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/archivehour
