Music Week reports that Sir Paul's new single, Jenny Wren, made its debut at number 22 on the charts. This is the fifth time in a row that a McCartney single has charted in the 20s. Last September, Fine Line debuted at number 20. Jenny Wren is Sir Paul's 54th Top 40 single of his solo career.
How is the album doing? Chaos And Creation dropped off the Top 200 chart 5 weeks ago, however it is selling better that Driving Rain. Here are the sales statistics thus far:
Jenny Wren, 4,373 copies
Fine Line, 5,486 copiesChaos And Creation 44,894 copies
Driving Rain 42,249 copies
