2005-Dec-17: Tour Tally

According to Billboard magazine, Sir Paul's 37-date North American tour which began September 16 in Miami and ended November 30 in Los Angeles grossed $80 million sold about 550,000 tickets. Every date sold out quickly. The four concerts at Madison Square Garden in New York city grossed $8.5 million. These figures are just estimates. The official totals are still being tallied.

One tour executive, Clear Channel Entertainment vice president Brad Wavra said the experience of working on the tour with Sir Paul was unbelievable:

"He sold more tickets, faster, this tour than last. Every show completely sold out. We were selling standing room tickets, seats in the press boxes, putting two chairs down next to the mix position, and as soon as we put them up for sale, they were purchased."

Concerts West president , Paul Gongaware, was equally impressed:

"I would love to talk about the instant sellouts or the fanatical fans, but the real story was the music and Paul's show. He connected deeply and emotionally with everyone in the house."
