2006-Jan-15: Sir Paul Declines Award

Sir Paul was to have been awarded the Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution To Music at next month's ceremony. Sir Paul, however, has declined. He feels he is too young to have earned the honor. A Brit Award insider remarked:

"We were absolutely stunned. Sir Paul felt that if he accepted the gong, people would assume it was the end of his career when he is feeling more creative than ever."
