On Monday, February 27 PBS will air Chaos and Creation at Abbey Road as part of their "Great Performances" series. Last July, Sir Paul returned to theAbbey Road studio to perform and reminisce before a small studio audience. During the beautifully filmed (not videotaped) documentary, Sir Paul explains the workings of the old Abbey Road recording equipment, demonstrates a variety of musical instruments from various guitars to Elvis Presley's bass player's instrument to an early synthesizer, and sings a range of songs from all aspects of his musical career. During the program we even learn that Sir Paul is a Charles Dickens fan - that's where he borrowed the word "peradventure" (meaning "perhaps") for his song English Tea. The show ends with a rousing improvised song he calls That's All for Now.
