It is official. Sir Paul has removed his wedding ring, hired a team of layers, and has filed for divorce in the British courts based on Heather's "unreasonable behavior" claiming that she was "argumentative" and "rude to staff". Heather has responded that she will be filing counterclaims in both British and American courts. With this counter claim, all hope is lost for the amicable settlement he had hoped for for the sake of his two-year-old daughter, Beatrice. It seems a yearlong court battle is about to begin on both sides of the Atlantic.
Sir Paul has assembled one of most impressive legal teams ever to contest a British divorce. It includes Fiona Shackleton, the divorce specialist who helped Prince Charles part from Diana, and Nicholas Mostyn QC, (aka "Mr. Payout" ). Behind the scenes, Sir Paul will be working with Linda's brother, John L Eastman, Sir Paul's longtime lawyer, manager and friend of Sir Paul.
During an appearance at Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts on Friday, it was observed that Sir Paul was no longer wearing his wedding ring, His hair was a more natural, graying color, and he was dressed more formally than he did during his marriage to Heather.
