Sir Paul has announced that he will premiere his new classical work Ecce Cor Meum (Behold My Heart) at the Royal Albert Hall on November 3d. The work was commissioned in 1998 by Oxford's Magdalen College to commemorate the 550th anniversary of the foundation of the College.
Ecce Cor Meum is a four movement oratorio scored for choir and orchestra with texts in both Latin and English. Each movement opens with the unaccompanied voices of the Magdalen College Choir. Eight years in the making, Sir Paul says that the work has been a labor of love.
The album Ecce Cor Meum will be released on Monday, September 25th.
