Sir Paul told Britain's Daily Express newspaper that he has learned that the rights to his Beatles tunes, which are currently owned by Michael Jackson, will be returned to him. According to Sir Paul:
" In about 10 years a lot of the back catalogue returns to me, just legally. Some of the important rights are about to return which I didn't realize."
For now, each time he performs one of his own compositions, he must pay royalties to Michael Jackson:
"You know what doesn't feel very good is going on tour and paying to sing all my songs. Every time I sing Hey Jude I've got to pay someone."
