In London today, more than 1,200 Paul McCartney fans waited in line for days outside the Piccadilly Virgin Megastore for the opportunity to meet him at a CD signing. In a rare appearance, Sir Paul signed 500 copies of his classical album Ecce Cor Meum. A friend of Sir Paul's was quoted in The Sun as saying:
"He was touched by all the support."
During the signing, a fan named Danny Jones handed Sir Paul a copy of his CD to autograph and said:
"Paul, I'm really sorry about your marriage troubles. How are you doing?"
Sir Paul replied:
"I feel fine. I'm doing fine, thanks."
